The London based B2B payments platform raised the Series A round to accelerate growth in emerging markets.
"While traditional peer-to-peer payment platforms often have transaction limits, the Verto platform facilitates payment volumes that are appropriate for MSMEs."
The oversubscribed round was co-led by ADA Ventures and Slingshot Ventures to support the development of remote dental care technology.
"From first hand experience as dentists, we’ve seen patients have to overcome many hurdles in servicing their oral health needs. We are developing proprietary AI and Image Recognition technology to empower patients. With so many dental diseases preventable we are pioneering a new way for patients to uptake dental treatments and see a dentist on demand through amazing technology."
The company secured the investment from eleven angels across technology, finance, and real estate.
"We are delighted to announce this development. We have raised the funds, from some fantastic investors, to begin the next chapter for property xyz. What we have learned from our user feedback, we can now act on, to provide our clients with richer data and a more seamless property-buying experience. Our upcoming off-market property opportunities are particularly exciting. Genuine off-market opportunities are incredibly hard to come by and the process is often somewhat opaque. It’s great to be part of helping connecting genuine property buyers with agents in this space"
The seed round was led by Speedinvest with participation from Atomico and notable angels.
"In a world where you order food in a tap, hail taxis in an instant, and swipe to date, there’s something oddly exhilarating about being forced to wait. Before digital cameras you had no idea what you captured. The suspense of not knowing paired with seeing your snaps for the first time is a powerful feeling. We’ve re-created that experience and made it social"
