Tevent secures £1.5m in seed funding from Silicon Valley angel investors to scale its virtual event platform.
Silicon Valley technology executives back the virtual event software provider in its latest funding round.
Tevent provides a technology platform for interactive virtual events designed to make remote gatherings engaging and accessible. The firm builds tools for businesses and creators to host dynamic online sessions.
London based virtual event platform Tevent has secured £1.5m in a seed funding round. The financing comes from a group of angel investors and technology executives from Silicon Valley. The capital will be directed towards accelerating product development and scaling the platform to accommodate growing user demand.
Founded in March 2020, the company emerged during the pandemic to offer an alternative to physical conferences. The platform combines virtual rooms with social networking features to replicate the spontaneity of in person gatherings. Tevent plans to use the fresh funds to introduce mobile and desktop applications alongside new software integrations.
The investment positions the firm for its next phase of growth as it prepares for a subsequent Series A round. Tevent intends to expand its market reach across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe.
