Innogy Innovation Hub provided seed backing to help the security technology firm expand its footprint.

"We identify and back innovative companies and technologies that have the potential to transform infrastructure for the benefit of all and Calipsa’s technology is a great example of that. By automating video monitoring, they are helping to transform assets like buildings into smart organisms. Since launching the product in mid-2018 they have attracted a number of large customers, which is great validation for the product. We have been incredibly impressed by Rashid and his talented team and are thrilled to partner with them to accelerate their growth."

The indoor farming startup has raised undisclosed capital to support its expansion plans.

"Just Vertical has been received incredibly well generating over six figures in revenue over the last year while seeing steady growth in their recurring revenue line of business. At the same time, our growing technology has managed to save 2.6 million liters of water and eliminate 74 million miles of food transport. These dual benefits for business and the environment have been recognized globally, most recently with Just Vertical winning the People’s Choice Award at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE."

Cross Border Angels & Experts has backed the animal health startup through its Seed-2-Growth programme.

"The animal health industry is undergoing important changes at the moment, and gut health is at the centre of this. Given the challenges being faced, the effectiveness of solutions for animal health has to be based on increasingly robust science. We believe that EquiNectar is a game changer in the field of animal gut health, as it is a product that has not only shown its effectiveness in rebalancing gut flora in horses, but also the positive consequences that this brings. We are very excited about partnering with CBA as they will help us to reach out to their Global resources to better access markets, partners and investors."

The funding round was backed by Episode 1 following previous angel investment.

"Our customers win and lose contracts based on the speed at which they can scale their workforce. They need the right people with the right skills in the right place, often at short notice. If they can’t find them quickly, it can cost them dearly. We created Pickr specifically to solve this problem,"
— Kane Halsey, CEO
