Tharos secures £400k of a £1.2m round from Cross Border Angels & Experts
Cross Border Angels & Experts has backed the animal health startup through its Seed-2-Growth programme.
Tharos develops enzyme rich malt extract supplements to improve digestive health and performance in horses and other animals.
Tharos has secured £400k as part of a £1.2m investment round, with backing from Cross Border Angels & Experts. The company is commercialising an enzyme rich malt extract designed to restore gut flora and enhance performance in horses, with plans to expand into dogs, companion animals, and livestock.
The funding will support the company as it scales its operations and extends its market reach globally through its partnership with Cross Border Angels & Experts. EquiNectar, the flagship product, is registered under UK schemes and aims to replace traditional approaches to animal gut management by optimising digestion in the small bowel.
