Angel investors have backed HalalBooking in a funding extension aimed at supporting expansion through 2024.
"This is still a relatively small angel round and the company’s cap table remains mostly under the ownership of the founders. This investment, combined with cash we generate from our healthy 17% profit margin, will help us to accelerate our 2023-24 growth and be in a stronger position to reach our $1 billion unicorn goal sooner. There is a lot of interest from institutional investors, who have been closely watching our growth since the pandemic, which is leading us to consider a larger, institutional $30-40 million Series C round to further accelerate our growth rate. This would increase the likelihood of reaching the $1 billion goal in 3-4 years, rather than in, say, 6-7 years of more organic growth."
Golden Record Ventures led the £5m growth round to help Orbital expand its licensing and product offerings.
"We believe all modern, global companies will require access to both blockchain and fiat payment rails, from one single platform, to effectively manage their business in the future. Orbital has been built by veterans who deeply understand the needs of large enterprises, which until now have been massively underserved. Our combined expertise in both traditional finance and crypto means that we are uniquely positioned to serve their demands. Bootstrapped and profitable since 2017, we’ve both grown rapidly and raised financing in a very difficult crypto bear market. Now we’re ready to scale even further and push our platform towards the bleeding edge of fintech."

Puma Private Equity led the growth financing for the financial super app, which will fund product diversification and customer acquisition.
"For too long, low-income and underserved communities have been let down and left behind by financial services. At Pockit, we’re committed to not only opening doors for these people, but giving them the tools and support they need to feel financially empowered. It’s a problem that has been growing for years, and in the wake of the current economic climate, it’s only set to become more entrenched and more devastating for millions. We want to be the financial champion for those who need it most and this funding allows us to continue being there for even more people in many more ways."
BP Ventures has backed the UK transport analytics software provider to support its international expansion.
"Faster adoption of lower carbon energy and mobility solutions will help drive bp towards meeting its ambition to become a net zero company by 2050 or sooner and helping the world get to net zero. We’re very excited to be investing in Dynamon, an EV fleet software business deploying software as a service and data science to help the commercial transport industry transition to lower carbon energy fleets."
The seed round was supported by High-Tech Gründerfonds, Big Sur Ventures and Fuel Ventures to scale the platform's resource pool.
"We are thrilled to embark on the next chapter of our journey, supported by our incredible investors, partners and IT Specialists. This funding will play a vital role in bridging the skills gaps that many businesses are facing, whilst also spearheading the future of work by creating job opportunities within our community"
