Tiger Global has led a $40m Series A funding round in Weavr to support its expansion into the United States and other international markets.
"We believe an increasingly digital world works better when financial services are provided seamlessly within digital applications. Plug-and-Play Finance is the fastest, easiest and most efficient way for businesses to accomplish this,"
The investment round was led by Octopus Ventures with participation from multiple returning and strategic backers.
"Automata’s robotic capabilities are truly the first of its kind and the company has combined this with deep expertise in automation and a highly effective business model which has created a leading-edge over competitors. Automata Labs accelerates human ingenuity, empowering labs, and scientists, to achieve consistent results faster, on a greater scale, and to ultimately upscale their ambitions. We are delighted to have led this financing round as Automata represented exactly the type of highly innovative company we invest in and support. We are excited for Automata’s next steps, both within the life sciences industry, and beyond."
Ameba Capital led the Series A financing to support international expansion and volume manufacturing of micro-LED displays.
"We have delivered the world’s first InGaN-based red micro-LEDs and displays and have set up production of our first products – shipping to some of the biggest global names in display technology."
The Series A round was co-led by Stage 2 Capital and AlbionVC to expand technical capabilities and international reach.
"Relocating is a messy amalgamation of 20-30 different processes that create a super stressful process during what should be one of the most exciting moments in someone’s life. There are support packages on the market to streamline relocation but these are often inflexible and expensive, costing companies thousands of pounds, and usually only available for those at the top of the company. By bringing all the processes into one platform, with great support at accessible price points, we help both the relocating employee with their move but also their employer provide a high value employee benefit."
Coretronic provided the investment alongside European family offices to support mass production ramp-up.
"Having industry heavyweight Coretronic on board as an investor and partner is further validation of both FlexEnable’s business model and our technology leadership in the materials and processes which enable volume production of unique flexible optical modules and displays. As a principal player in the LCD supply chain, Coretronic’s deep industry expertise will be a great benefit to us as we now move from production setup to mass production. We are very excited to have strong new investors on board, and very grateful for the on-going support from Rusnano and Novares, who have been instrumental in enabling us to develop our technology and great commercial projects over the past years."
