Series B
£57.8M

The London-based financial technology firm has raised a series B round backed by Gauss Ventures and M&F Fund to scale its operations.

"This funding is a demonstration of the confidence and strength of Zilch’s mission and products. By putting the customer first and building direct relationships with each of them, we are doing something no one else in the industry has done before. Zilch is far more than a BNPL company. We will very soon be launching in a number of new countries and continue the testing and rapid rollout of alternate ways for our customers to spend with Zilch."
— Philip Belamant, CEO and co-founder
Series A
£2.5M

Maven Capital Partners led the Series A round to support expansion into new industry verticals and North America.

"Cardinality offers an excellent opportunity for the Maven VCTs to invest into a scaling business, for which the growth dynamics of the data integration sector provide a positive outlook. The Company has seen good commercial progress to date and its revenues are backed up by a strong pipeline and growing recurring revenue base. The management team, led by CEO Steve Preston, are highly experienced and we have been impressed by what they have achieved in what is a competitive market."
— Luke Matthews, Partner
Pre-Seed
$2.0M

The pre-seed round was co-led by Cavalry Ventures and Playfair Capital.

"Even prior to the pandemic, restaurants have faced a hugely challenging trading environment. The industry has low barriers to entry, meaning it’s super competitive and tough to differentiate. It’s also a labour intensive business with operating costs rising on multiple fronts, from ingredients to delivery aggregators. It leaves little room for error. While the last 12 months have been devastating for the industry, it has also clearly highlighted the need for an evolution in the way of working. Restaurants of all shapes and sizes need to get more from every dollar spent,"
— Conor Sheridan, CEO and founder
Seed
£1.5M

The Leeds-based geospatial technology firm secured backing from NPIF - Mercia Equity Finance and the Government's Future Fund.

"The SatSense founders have taken technology that was once only available to governments and research institutes and made it accessible for day to day business use. Our system is the only one that offers instant access to highly accurate, near real-time data over huge areas. The service will become all the more important given the impact of climate change. As hotter summers and wetter winters exacerbate seasonal changes in ground conditions, it will allow us to identify areas worst affected and provide warnings on infrastructure or properties at risk."
— Matthew Bray, CEO
Seed
£1.2M

The Edinburgh based artificial intelligence firm has closed a seed round backed by private investors.

"This very successful fundraising backed by well-known industry leaders is a huge vote of confidence in our technology and business model, enabling us to scale up our business development efforts as well as continue to invest in cutting edge research and attract the most talented people. Our hedge fund clients have been quick to realise the benefits that our unique machine learning platform can provide, and we are in discussions with asset managers who are keen to integrate our AI into their investment process or seeking to launch the next generation of AI-driven funds. Our modular SaaS platform readily integrates into existing infrastructure making it easy to adopt."
— Sonia Schulenburg, CEO
