Vertex Exploratory Fund and Clean Growth Fund co-led the £4m round to accelerate international expansion.

"The Vertex Exploratory Fund actively seeks out disruptive frontier technologies with climate as one of the core themes in our investment strategy. measurable.energy stood out as one of the most promising startups in the UK in the climate space, offering a low-touch, intuitive, and compliance-ready solution that effectively reduces power waste. The funding was provided by a group of angel investors and entrepreneurs to support international expansion.

"The verification market is plagued by poorly performing products that fail to accurately distinguish between bots and humans. The status quo leaves brands open to major cyber-attacks, unlimited spam as well as decimated marketing budgets. Our offering will change all that – giving brands a comprehensive solution to identify and block bots, whilst empowering dynamic brand advertising to engage customers. Our mission is to usher in a new era of human verification technology and set the industry standard for the future."

The Electric Car Scheme has raised a Series A round led by 13books Capital to support its electric vehicle salary sacrifice platform.

"This new round of investment is a huge vote of confidence not only in The Electric Car Scheme, but the company’s impact in supporting the wider transition to Net Zero emissions. We are incredibly excited to work together with our brilliant team, and forward-thinking investors to deliver on our mission to make Net Zero simpler and cheaper to become the obvious choice."

Renewable energy leader Drax backed the project with a £1m investment alongside a UK Government Clean Maritime grant.

"Wind is abundant, free, and exclusively available to any ship equipped to use it. Modern 21st century easily retrofittable wing sails lower the cost of propelling ships, which reduces the dependency on commodity-based fuels – whether fossil or alternative fuels – and improves supply chain certainty. Smart Green Shipping shares a joint mission with Drax Group to use renewables to move renewables. We are immensely grateful for the support from Drax Group to create seamless and easy-to-access wind solutions for cargo owners and ship owners. The first commercial installation of FastRig is incredibly exciting and an important milestone as we derisk the transition to wind for the whole shipping ecosystem."
