BGF backed the retail print supplier with growth capital to expand its technological capabilities.
"I think that many people would look at the physical printing business with some trepidation given how much of the market is moving online. What impressed us with Chris, Mike and the wider team at York Mailing was their ability to build a profitable and growing company by targeting a niche area within the sector that is in demand and expanding rapidly. Consistently investing in the latest innovative printing technology and acquiring underperforming assets and turning them round has enabled the management team to secure a market leading position. It’s a great example of a proven and dynamic management team with a clear plan to grow their business."
The Cass Entrepreneurship Fund has committed £250k to support the research and consultancy provider in scaling its operations.
"We are delighted to be helping Cass entrepreneurs realise their business ambitions. Frontier MEA is an exciting company, operating in high-potential markets. Beth Hepworth was a top-performing Cass MBA student, and Frontier is a great example of driving business growth in new territories."
The funding was provided by Midlands investor Catapult Growth Fund to support the launch of a new club partnership platform.
"The original Kick Sport business model was that of a web retailer servicing the martial arts market and looking towards the online acquisition of retail end users to build up a loyal customer base. This side of the business is still growing both in the UK and internationally."
The funding round was led by Leopard Rock Capital with participation from angel investors.
"A $30 billion market opportunity, the cloud offers tremendous growth opportunities for service providers that can scale, deploy and configure cloud services simply and cost effectively,"
