Passion Capital led the pre-seed round with backing from Seedcamp and notable tech founders.
"Having run a media company in a tough market with a young, millennial workforce, we witnessed first-hand how there was a complete lack of investment in helping this generation with their mental health in a way that they’re used to: a community product that is mobile-first and video-led. We want to make the world a happier place by making working on your mental health as normal as going to the gym."
The pre-seed round was backed by prominent angel investors to support platform development ahead of a December launch.
"Detected delivers a pragmatic, quality solution to a real business issue. I am excited to have invested in this and the management team. Liam has secured a group of high-quality investors and I look forward to supporting this exciting new company as it grows."
The pre-seed round was led by QVentures with participation from angel investors including Simon Franks and Douglas Choi.
"I was let go from a previous role because I needed to work from home occasionally in order to accommodate my autoimmune disease. The fact that candidates do not know whether they will be able to work in a way that works for them is unacceptable. We are on a mission to bring a more flexible, inclusive way of working to as many people as we possibly can."
Zetogon backed the pre-seed round to help fund the commercial launch of SmatCrows.
"Nigeria comes first with an official launch of our flagship product called Smatcrows in October and a similar launch would be carried out in other African countries by Q2 2021,"
