"This investment accelerates our ability to develop scalable solutions for our technology partners, helping them navigate the changing global energy landscape. With Barclays’ support, we can bring our technology into more homes and buildings in the UK through a broader range of channels while improving the grid’s capacity to integrate renewable energy. Why pay windfarms to shut down when we can pay households to switch on?"
The funding round was co-led by EDP Ventures alongside Clean Growth Fund and Future Energy Ventures.
"We are delighted to join CGF and FEV as investors in this funding round and we’re thrilled to strengthen our partnership with Piclo. This collaboration will enhance our distributed energy resource assets, such as decentralized storage and industrial and residential assets, globally. With this partnership, we aim to contribute even more to the decarbonization of energy systems worldwide and explore new opportunities in flexibility markets"
The Oxford spinout secured £9.2m from new and existing backers to scale its smart hot water technology.
"Mixergy is launching a new integrated heat pump cylinder in the Spring, which uses our top-down heating technology, with a small heat pump attached to the cylinder. The financing round was led by Energias De Portugal with backing from Act Venture Capital, Electricity Supply Board, and Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures.
"The newly completed financing round sets GridBeyond on the path to increase the reach of our intelligent energy platform, delivering world leading AI and powerful automation capabilities to smart grid and energy markets.
