Downing is an investment manager that has raised over £1.7bn across sectors ranging from renewable energy to technology.
The investment was led by Williams Foresight and Ananda Ventures to scale production and support international expansion.

The funding will support the construction of the company's first commercial facility in Barry.

The funding round was backed by LBA private investors, Downing Ventures, and the London Co-Investment Fund.
