The seed round was led by Superbet Ventures with backing from Ascension, APX, Concept Ventures, and various angels.
"Others shouldn’t have to grind it out like I did as a teenager. Our mission is to give players personalised insights at the right time so they can instantly improve,"
Frontline Ventures led the pre-seed round to support the development of the knowledge-sharing platform.
"Knowledge sharing can become dependent on individual tech leads who develop a comprehensive understanding of how a technology is built, and often take it with them when they move on to new roles, leaving the next crop of engineers without essential context,"
The seed financing round was backed by Active Partners and existing investors including Ascension.
"This new round of funding caps off an amazing year for Plend. Since launching our first affordable credit product to consumers this year, we have been able to help so many people get access to the money they need to get on with their lives at affordable and fair rates. We are thrilled to be working with our newest investment partners to provide a truly ethical alternative to the broken credit scoring system that locks so many people out of the market, especially during these times of economic turbulence and rising interest rates."
The oversubscribed round will fund international expansion, team growth, and acquisitions.
"This significantly oversubscribed extension to our Series A validates the progress we’ve been making in our mission to change the world of temporary work in schools. We are proud to say we have saved the UK education system millions of pounds each year, which is why we are excited about our growth and expansion into the US market."
