The funding round was led by Shift4Good to support the company's growth and recent acquisition of Cylantro.
"We’re excited to welcome onboard the Cylantro team to Laka. Thomas and his team have built up a fantastic offering in France, and we can’t wait to ramp up our presence across the country. E-bikes are expected to outgrow car sales by 2025 in Europe and we see huge potential in France, where the sales of bikes and e-bikes are growing at double-digits. We are also excited to welcome Shift4Good as an investor, and we look forward to working with them to expand our commitments to decarbonising mobility, by making it easier for consumers to insure and protect their bikes or e-bikes."
The funding round includes backing from Wealth Club and 1818 Venture Capital, alongside follow-on support from Blackfinch Ventures.
"This latest round of investment truly shows our desire to push on ahead and establish WMC as the market leader in the competitive intelligence marketplace."
The investment round was led by Blackfinch Ventures and will support international expansion.
"Even before the cost-of-living crisis hit, public transport outside of big cities was broken – expensive, unreliable, or simply not there for people who need it. Almost 5,000 bus services – more than one in four – were axed between 2012 and 2022. Many that remain, especially outside cities and large towns, are under threat from the recent end of the Bus Recovery Grant. Too many people are left with a stark choice – car ownership, which is itself increasingly prohibitively expensive, or simply not working. That’s not right – it’s not good for individuals and their families, and their social mobility and mental health, or for communities more broadly, and it’s not good for the economy."
Fuel Ventures led the seed financing for the London-based climate tech start-up, with participation from several new and existing backers.
"At Greenspark, we’re on a mission to tackle some of the greatest issues facing our planet right now, like climate change, deforestation and plastic pollution. We believe that collectively we have the power to address these major threats head-on. We’re bringing a whole new approach to tackling world issues through tools that are not simply altruistic but make business sense,"
The funding round was led by Moneta Venture Capital with participation from new and existing backers.
