Xapien secures £6m in seed funding led by YFM Equity Partners to expand its US footprint and enter new verticals.
The funding round was led by YFM Equity Partners alongside D2 and existing investors to support international expansion and product development.
Xapien provides an artificial intelligence platform for automated due diligence and background research. The SaaS technology helps organisations evaluate third party risks in minutes.
Deep-tech firm Xapien has secured £6m in a seed financing round led by YFM Equity Partners, with participation from D2 and existing backers. The capital will be deployed to fund international expansion into the US market and widen the company reach into new industry sectors.
Operating through a software as a service platform, the company uses large language models to automate the complex process of manual background research. The recent investment follows strong commercial momentum since the platform launch in early 2022, driven by rising demand for automated corporate compliance and risk assessment tools.
The fresh funding will accelerate technical development, including deeper application of proprietary language models and identity resolution engines. YFM and D2 take supporting positions in the business as it scales operations to meet growing requirements across professional services and financial institutions.
