The London based firm originates as a spin out from the University of Warwick, offering automated text analysis tools designed to interpret sentiment and context in customer service datasets. Clients in sectors including retail, finance and hospitality use the technology to improve customer satisfaction metrics and resolve operational issues.

Blackfinch Ventures participates in the funding as part of its focus on early stage technology companies. The investor aims to provide strategic support alongside capital to help growing enterprises scale their operations.
