VyperCore is a processor startup delivering accelerated compute performance and hardware-level cybersecurity. The firm builds object-based memory management technology designed to optimise existing code execution.

Processor startup VyperCore has secured £4m in seed funding to expand its operations and advance its silicon development. The round was backed by a consortium of British hardtech investors including Octopus Ventures, Foresight WAE Technology, Science Creates Ventures, British Growth Fund and Silicon Roundabout Ventures.

The fresh capital will enable the company to open new design centres in Cambridge and Bristol. In addition, the funds will be directed towards developing its inaugural generation of accelerated compute silicon based on the RISC-V architecture.

The firm aims to address the stagnation of Moore's Law by introducing object-based memory management. This approach seeks to optimise compute workloads without requiring developers to rewrite existing application code.
