Vizgard develops distributed artificial intelligence software designed to automate security and defence optical systems. Its technology integrates with existing camera infrastructure to enhance situational awareness and threat detection.
Vizgard has secured £1.5m in a seed funding round led by Sure Valley Ventures, with participation from Midwich Ignite and Focal. The company will direct the capital towards scaling its engineering and business development capabilities, alongside establishing international distribution to accelerate growth.
Founded in 2021, the company develops the FortifAI platform, which combines traditional computer vision with deep learning models to provide real-time threat identification and automatic camera control. Its technology serves various sectors, including defence, public safety, and transport, with clients such as the Ministry of Defence and the UK Home Office.
