Virtex has secured £2.6m in a seed funding round to expand its team and support further company growth. Global Founders Capital backed the raise alongside All Iron Ventures, Sure Valley Ventures, and GraphVentures. The capital follows a partnership agreement with Meta and Echo VR.
The company operates a virtual esports stadium platform that enables fans to watch live gameplay in 3D. Users can enter the stadium environment and follow competitors in real time, with the platform designed to offer new monetisation models and engagement channels for creators.
