Manchester based startup building alternative hiring tools to replace traditional CVs for entry-level job seekers. The platform employs behavioural science and social media formats to connect employers with Gen Z talent.
Manchester startup Urfuture has secured £1.7m in seed funding led by River Capital to expand its recruitment platform. The round included participation from SyndicateRoom Access Fund, Manchester Angels, Fhunded, Solid Bond, Host Capital, and sector-focused angel investors.
The company is developing tools to address rising youth unemployment and the prevalence of AI-generated CVs. Its platform uses social-first distribution and behavioural science to match candidates with employers while aiming to reduce hiring bias.
Capital from the round will be directed towards accelerating product development, growing the engineering, sales, and marketing teams, and launching new self-serve and white-label screening offerings for businesses.
