£1.5MSeed

Lincoln-based Tended has developed a wearable geospatial safety solution that alerts rail workers when they leave designated safe zones.

Tended has secured £1.5m in a Seed round led by Wealth Club, with participation from existing backer Blackfinch Ventures. The capital will support the company as it expands the deployment of its geofencing technology in the rail sector and targets new markets including utilities and highways.

The company has experienced strong momentum recently, including recognition in Time Magazine and partnerships with the European Space Agency for next-generation product development. The fresh funding arrives as heightened safety standards and regulatory changes create new tailwinds for industrial safety technology.

From the founder

"I’m delighted to welcome Wealth Club as a shareholder at this really exciting time in our growth trajectory. We’re already starting to see the profound impact we’re having on safety and efficiency in the rail industry through the implementation of our geofencing technology. With Wealth Club on board, I’m excited to increase this impact and together, work towards our mission of putting an end to preventable fatalities in heavy industries."
