The seed follow-on round was led by Hambro Perks and backed by the founders of Thomsons Online Benefits.
Tempo operates an end-to-end recruitment platform that uses machine learning and video interviewing to match candidates with employers. The service helps firms reduce hiring times and recruitment costs.
Tempo has secured £1.8m in seed follow-on funding to support its ongoing expansion and technology development. The round was led by Hambro Perks alongside Michael and Derek Jacobson, with additional participation coming from Thomsons Online Benefits founders Chris Bruce and Michael Whitfield. This investment brings the total capital raised by the company to more than £3m.
Founded two years ago by Ben Chatfield and Ollie Povey, the business has grown its client base to include companies such as Monzo, Uber, and OakNorth, alongside 40,000 registered candidates. The fresh capital will allow the team to pursue aggressive growth plans, enter new markets, and invest further in its proprietary technology.
Following its initial launch in London, Tempo has recently expanded operations to Manchester. The platform allows employers to reduce time-to-hire metrics significantly while maintaining candidate quality.
