Playfair Capital led the seed round with participation from Entrepreneur First.
Spotted Zebra provides a workforce management platform that helps large enterprises identify and resolve skills gaps. The software combines assessment science and human expertise to match individuals with suitable roles.
London-based Spotted Zebra has secured £1.4m in seed funding to support its workforce management technology. The round was led by Playfair Capital with additional participation from Entrepreneur First.
Spotted Zebra addresses the growing skills-gap crisis by offering an integrated skills cloud and suite of applications that assist major enterprises with hiring, succession planning, and reskilling. The company already counts several FTSE100 corporations among its client base.
The new capital will support the company as it builds out its presence in the HR technology sector, helping employers shift away from traditional job descriptions and towards skills-focused operations.
From the founder
"The magnitude of the skills-gap crisis is astonishing. More than half of companies around the world cannot find the skills they are looking for. Many companies are responding by adopting a new operating model for workforces; one that sees skills as the fundamental building blocks of work. But up until now there was no coherent technology solution to support such a transition. Spotted Zebra changes that! We power skills-based organisations,"
