Smile Plastics has secured £980k in a funding round led by Green Angel Syndicate to scale its sustainable materials business. The capital will be used to purchase a factory in Swansea, acquire new machinery, and grow the team.
The investment draws participation from Green Angel Syndicate members, the GAS Climate Change Fund, British Business Investments via the Regional Angels Programme, the Angel CoFund, and private backers. The company turns waste materials into decorative panels used by brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Ganni.
Demand for circular plastics is accelerating as consumer-facing companies adopt stricter environmental policies. The new funds will support domestic and international expansion to meet rising commercial interest.
