London-based fintech that combines financial infrastructure with automation to help finance teams execute workflows.
London-based fintech Round has secured $6m in seed funding to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams, deepen bank integrations, and launch community programmes. The round was led by Munich-based Alstin Capital, with participation from Backed, Love Ventures, existing customers, and angel investor Paul Forster. Passion Capital and other early-stage backers also increased their stakes in the business.
Founded in 2023, Round aims to replace fragmented financial tools with a unified platform that automates approvals, payments, and reconciliation. The fresh capital will support the company as it scales its operations and builds out further banking connections.
From the founder
"Round was started after the founders saw both sides of the problem first-hand. Incumbents were too slow and constrained to evolve, while challengers built powerful but isolated tools. Nothing connected, leaving businesses to manage money across fragmented systems. With AI now able to execute workflows end to end, Round was built to unify it into a single system"

Investor perspective
"Round understands that true finance automation requires infrastructure, not just software. The platform sits between banks, ERPs, and payment rails, orchestrating cash flows in real time. This is not an optimisation of existing processes, but a fundamentally new way for companies to manage their finance operations"
