Rooser operates a digital marketplace and stock management platform designed to streamline the global seafood supply chain. The company connects buyers and processors to reduce waste and improve transparency in the industry.

Rooser has secured £17m in Series A funding to scale its seafood trading platform and expand operations. Index Ventures led the round, with participation from Google Ventures and Point Nine Capital. The fresh capital will be deployed to support growing demand from buyers and sellers across the fragmented European seafood market.

The company provides cloud-based software and a marketplace that help processors manage stock, set prices, and reach new customers. By digitising transactions and introducing quality controls, Rooser aims to cut down the significant waste historically seen in the sector where a large proportion of harvested fish goes unused.
