RESPONSIBLE secures £4.9m seed investment from Barclays and Techstart Ventures to expand across Europe
The funding round was co-led by Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital and Techstart Ventures to support European expansion.
RESPONSIBLE provides embedded finance infrastructure for the fashion sector, enabling brands to integrate circular economy practices directly into their sales channels. The company operates offices in Belfast and London.
Fashion reCommerce platform RESPONSIBLE has secured £4.9m in a seed funding round to scale its operations across Europe. The investment was co-led by Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital and Techstart Ventures, with participation from high-profile private investors including Rafał Brzoska and Sarah Friar.
Founded in Ireland, the company has developed a buyback technology plugin that allows fashion brands to offer residual value guarantees at the point of purchase. The new capital will be deployed to extend the company network of brand partnerships and grow its European footprint following initial launches with labels such as RÆBURN and Kuyichi.
