Permia Sensing has raised £150k from British Design Fund to support the deployment of its technology and expansion into key markets.
The Imperial College London spinout develops acoustic sensors and AI tools designed to detect pests like the Red Palm Weevil and improve palm plantation yields sustainably.
The capital will help the agritech startup scale its operations as it conducts pilots in corporate plantations across Sri Lanka and the wider tropics.
