Patch transforms vacant high street buildings into flexible neighbourhood workspaces and community hubs.

Patch has secured £3m in funding led by JamJar Investments, with participation from Blue Wire Capital, Vectr7 Investment Partners, Active Partners, and Triple Point Ventures. A host of high-profile angel investors also contributed to the round, including former Wagamama CEO Emma Woods and PureGym founder Peter Roberts. The company will use the capital to scale its team and expand its network of neighbourhood workspaces, with new sites planned for Twickenham and High Wycombe.

Founded in 2020, the London-based enterprise aims to reduce the need for long commutes by establishing community-driven coworking spaces on local high streets. The firm plans to open up to 100 sites across the country in the coming years, combining flexible desks with spaces for local events and retail pop-ups.

From the founder

"The founding idea is simple – that opportunities are not evenly accessible to all talented people in the country, because we have assumed for so long that co-locating in city offices is a necessary precondition to success,"

Investor perspective

"Patch is leading the charge on this by unlocking access to flexible working, collaboration, and community in one place. By bringing this to the local high street, they are breathing new life back into local economies, while supporting people to work near home and re-engage with the places they live. We are looking forward to supporting Freddie and his fantastic team as they further their mission to bring flexible, community-driven working to every UK high street,"
