Oxalis Games raises £1.5m from L1D and Arete Capital to develop Moonfrost

Oxalis Games is a studio developing Moonfrost, which is a life simulation farming role-playing game. The company is based in the UK and works closely with its player community during development.
Oxalis Games has secured £1.5m in a new funding round to support the ongoing development of Moonfrost. The financing was co-led by L1D and Arete Capital, with additional backing from Merit Circle, Selini Capital, EthLizards, and W3GG DAO.
The capital arrives as the studio prepares for the next alpha release of its flagship title in mid-October, which will introduce a competitive player-versus-player mode named Farm Royale. Moonfrost previously launched its third closed alpha on the Epic Games Store in July and has built a community of approximately 150,000 players awaiting the full release.
Founded in 2020, the studio previously raised $4m in 2021 and has attracted backing from several prominent investors including Supercell and Animoca Brands. The team is currently showcasing the title at MCM Comic Con in London.
