National MRI operates a digital health platform that connects patients with private diagnostic imaging services across the United Kingdom. The company aims to reduce waiting times for essential medical scans through an integrated booking network.

Digital health provider National MRI has secured £1.9m in seed funding to support its expansion into international markets. The investment round was co-led by Oxford Capital and YZR, with participation from Founders Factory, KM Capital, and several high-profile angel investors. The capital will be deployed to launch operations in the United States and Germany under a new brand name, alongside developing commercial B2B offerings for health insurers.

From the founder

"Increasing access to the right diagnostic imaging and testing is vital to saving lives. It offers preventive healthcare that, if delayed, can cause significant problems to the patient and put even greater pressure on the healthcare system. In my role as an osteopath I've seen how the deterioration of patient wellbeing can be impacted by the cost and access of such tests. With this new investment we can continue to grow our network to get the tests that help to direct patients to the optimal therapy for the best outcome."
