Mindtrace secures £2.2m in seed follow-on funding from Skylake Capital, Bloc Ventures and Mercia

MindTrace is a Manchester-based startup developing advanced artificial intelligence software that mimics human brain functions. The company focuses on creating unsupervised learning systems for autonomous vehicle collision avoidance.

Mindtrace has secured £2.2m in seed follow-on funding to accelerate its product roadmap and expand go-to-market capabilities. The investment was led by Skylake Capital, with participation from Bloc Ventures and existing backer Mercia Asset Management. Alongside the funding, Marcos Battisti of Skylake Capital and Michael Dimelow of Bloc Ventures have joined the company board of directors.

The Manchester-based software provider focuses on brain-inspired artificial intelligence solutions designed to enhance operational efficiencies for large enterprises. The company intends to direct the new capital toward scaling its commercial reach and establishing strategic partnerships across sectors such as asset inspection, security, and smart devices.
