Edinburgh-based Machines With Vision has secured £2.6m in a seed funding round led by Par Equity, with participation from Old College Capital and Gareth Williams. The company develops digital mapping and geolocation technology designed to help railway network operators distinguish actual track defects from suspected faults and plan predictive maintenance.

The newly raised capital will be deployed to support product development and expand the team as the company builds on its recent commercial progress.
