Keebo secures £5m in seed funding from Breega and Connect Ventures to prepare for commercial launch

London-based fintech Keebo has raised £5m in seed funding to support its preparations for launch. The round was led by Breega and Connect Ventures, both known for backing prominent financial technology startups. The capital will primarily support team recruitment as the company prepares to introduce its open banking credit card to the market.

Authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, Keebo applies behavioural underwriting to assess customers based on their broader financial habits rather than traditional credit scores. The company aims to widen access to fair credit for groups such as freelancers, entrepreneurs, and first-time buyers who often face exclusion from mainstream lending. Alongside private investment, the firm has secured three technology grants from the UK government and partnered with Mastercard for its market debut.
