InvenireX raises £500k from DSW Ventures and XTX Ventures to refine its biotech testing platform.

DSW Ventures and XTX Ventures backed the pre-seed round, which will fund prototype optimisation and technical validation.

£500KSeed

Newcastle-based InvenireX has developed a DNA nanotechnology platform designed to detect early-stage disease markers. The technology utilises programmable structures and artificial intelligence to identify molecular targets with high sensitivity.

InvenireX has secured £500k in pre-seed funding from DSW Ventures and XTX Ventures. The capital will be directed towards finalising the prototype and deploying it into external research and development laboratories for validation. The Newcastle-based biotech firm has created a platform that uses AI and programmable DNA to test raw materials for biomarkers without pre-processing. Daniel Todd founded the company in 2021 during his PhD studies at the University of Newcastle.

Investor perspective

"InvenireX has developed an exciting platform technology with promising data and early customer traction. This round will help get the technology into the hands of users who can further validate it and drive the company forward into full commercialisation. It’s been a pleasure to work with the InvenireX team who are incredibly talented, dynamic and open to collaboration."
