Huboo raises £2.1m in seed funding led by Episode 1 to scale its logistics platform.
The seed round was led by Episode 1 to support the company in developing its fulfilment service.
Huboo operates software-driven warehouses using a micro hub model to provide end-to-end eCommerce fulfilment for online retailers across Europe and the US.
South-West logistics start-up Huboo has secured £2.1m in a seed funding round led by Episode 1. The capital will support the company as it scales its innovative warehouse fulfilment operations and prepares for international expansion.
Founded by Martin Bysh and Paul Dodd after they struggled to find fulfilment partners for their own online shop, Huboo uses a hub-based warehouse model combined with proprietary software to serve small and large businesses alike. The firm plans to launch its first German hubs at the start of 2020 following a recent agreement.
From the founder
"We started experimenting with selling online to see what problems sellers face and it was amazing how quickly it became obvious to us that this was the major one. Quite literally, no fulfilment service would touch us until we could guarantee high volume sales."
