The seed round was led by Atlantic Food Labs with participation from Seedcamp, MMC, and the Oxford Seed Fund.
Habitual provides digital programs designed to help patients reverse prediabetes and type 2 diabetes through nutritional strategies and digital therapeutics. The company aims to enable individuals to live medication-free and achieve long-term disease remission.
Habitual has secured $2.3m in a seed funding round led by Berlin-based Atlantic Food Labs. The round also drew participation from existing backers Seedcamp and MMC, alongside the Oxford Seed Fund.
The digital health startup offers targeted programs focused on diabetes reversal and lifestyle modification. The fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate user acquisition, expand headcount, and conduct further clinical research trials.
Founded in 2019, the London-based company combines evidence-based nutrition with digital therapeutics to support patients in managing chronic health conditions. The fresh financing positions the enterprise to scale its offerings internationally.
From the founder
"There’s never been a better time to build a digital health company, particularly in the diabetes space. With skyrocketing rates of chronic disease crippling our healthcare systems, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerating adoption of digital healthcare interventions, and increasing patient awareness of the importance of a healthy, balanced lifestyle, we’re not only hoping to build a massive business—but also to help millions of people across the world to live longer, happier lives."
