Gladys raises 1.5m pounds in seed funding led by Cornerstone to expand its home care platform across the UK

The financing round was led by Cornerstone with backing from several early stage investors.
Gladys operates an artificial intelligence platform connecting families with local care providers to address shortages in home support. The system matches users with vetted community carers while offering higher remuneration for staff.
London based care technology firm Gladys has secured £1.5m in seed funding to expand its operations across the United Kingdom. The financing round was led by Cornerstone, with additional participation from Exceptional Ventures, Embryo Ventures, Ufi Ventures, Houghton Street Ventures, and Conduit EIS Impact Fund. The capital will be deployed to scale the platform into a national service and enhance artificial intelligence capabilities for back office operations.
The company was established by George Robinson and Alex Sorisi to address structural challenges in the domestic care market. By eliminating traditional agency intermediaries, the platform seeks to improve compensation for care workers while lowering costs for families needing support services.
From the founder
"Our mission is simple: support families to live better at home, and give Carers the pay and opportunities they deserve. We’re delighted to have the support of some incredible investors who share our passion and ambition to revolutionise the sector. The raise brings together a formidable group of backers with deep expertise in health and technology, who are supporting us to drive the social impact we’re aiming for"
Alex Sorisi
COO and Co-Founder at Gladys
Investor perspective
"Rising care costs, an overstretched social care system, and the demands of daily life can leave families feeling guilty and stretched thin as they think about their elderly loved ones. That’s why I’m thrilled to back George and Alex as they build Gladys, a managed social care platform that makes it easy to find and book trusted caregivers and companions. Their mission is close to my heart: giving families peace of mind and helping everyone grow old with dignity, in the home they cherish, for as long as possible."
