The rental deposit lender raised capital through a loan note with backing from Passion Capital, Truesight, and the UK government Future Fund.
Fronted operates a regulated rental deposit lending business providing consumer loans for tenant deposits. The firm offers cost-effective alternatives to traditional cash deposits without early repayment fees.
Rental deposit lender Fronted has secured seed funding from Passion Capital and Truesight, alongside support from the UK government Future Fund. The company raised the capital through a loan note after navigating fundraising challenges during the coronavirus pandemic.
Co-founded by former Monzo, Bud, and Apple staff, the business plans to use its initial deposit lending product as a stepping stone toward a broader tenancy solution for renters. Passion Capital founding partner Eileen Burbidge has also joined the company board as part of the developments.
