FitXR secures $6.3m Series A investment led by Hiro Capital to expand operations
The investment round was led by Hiro Capital with participation from BoostVC, Maveron, and TenOneTen Ventures, alongside an innovation loan from Innovate UK.
FitXR develops virtual reality fitness games designed to provide immersive and engaging workout experiences. Its flagship title, BoxVR, has established the company as a prominent player in the virtual reality fitness sector.
London based virtual reality fitness developer FitXR has secured £6.3m in a Series A funding round led by Hiro Capital, with participation from BoostVC, Maveron and TenOneTen Ventures. The company also received an additional £1.2m innovation loan from Innovate UK.
Founded with the mission to reinvent traditional workouts through virtual reality, FitXR will direct the capital towards expanding its European and North American operations. The funds will also support the acceleration of several new products and services.
The investment follows a period of significant expansion for the company, driven by the success of its rhythm boxing title, BoxVR. Leadership notes that the new backing will help cement its position in the virtual reality fitness market over the coming year.
