The bridging round was led by British Design Fund to support global growth for the medical device innovator.

Liverpool-based Enteral Access Technologies develops medical devices aimed at improving patient safety in clinical settings. Its flagship product, DoubleCHEK, verifies nasogastric feeding tube placement.

Enteral Access Technologies has secured £500k in a bridging round led by British Design Fund, alongside backing from existing investors. The fresh capital will be directed towards international expansion efforts for the company's patient safety technology. The funding arrives as the firm builds commercial traction in the UK, the United States, and European markets such as Italy.

The company's primary product, DoubleCHEK, addresses the dangerous issue of misplaced nasogastric feeding tubes by offering a combined carbon dioxide and pH verification method. This approach serves as a bedside check to reduce reliance on X-rays and align with updated safety guidance. Founder George Gallagher established the firm following personal experience with enteral feeding during his childhood.

From the founder

"This investment reflects strong support for our mission to improve patient safety worldwide. We’re encouraged by the growing interest in DoubleCHEK and remain focused on expanding access to safer enteral technologies."
