Enee.io secures £1m in a seed funding round led by Green Angel Syndicate and Factor[e] to scale its energy platform.

Manchester-based green tech start-up enee.io has secured £1m in a seed funding round to scale its energy management platform and expand its team. The investment was co-led by Green Angel Syndicate and Factor[e], with additional support from an Innovate UK grant.

The company has created an IoT-based monitoring system designed to track energy generation, storage and consumption for homeowners and business users. The fresh capital will allow the business to further develop its technology and add six new staff members over the coming months across software development and operations.

enee.io has already deployed its system across 12 countries, aiming to improve reliability and reduce the cost of renewable power systems in developing regions where grid access remains limited.
