EducationApps develops Gojimo, a mobile learning platform providing study guides and quizzes for secondary school students in the UK and US.

EducationApps has raised over $1m in seed funding from Index Ventures and JamJar Investments to support team expansion and the development of new features for its Gojimo learning platform. The mobile application delivers academic content from publishers such as McGraw-Hill Education and Oxford University Press, covering major UK and US secondary school qualifications.

The fresh capital follows the release of Gojimo for iPhone and iPad, alongside a preview of a forthcoming Teacher Portal designed to help educators track student progress and manage classroom assignments. Founder George Burgess secured the investment after returning from Stanford University to operate the London-based business full time.
