The seed round was led by LocalGlobe with backing from Global Founders Capital and angel investors.
Count provides a data platform designed to help early-stage technology companies analyse information more effectively. The system combines a data warehouse, transformation tool and reporting environment into a single product.
London-based data platform Count has raised €2.2m in a seed round led by LocalGlobe. The financing also included participation from Global Founders Capital and angel investor Charlie Songhurst. The capital will be deployed to expand the reach of the product and support early-stage startups with decision-making tools.
Founded in 2016, the company aims to simplify data analysis for growing technology firms through its consolidated platform. The fresh funds arrive as the startup officially exits stealth mode and opens access for organisations tackling coronavirus-related challenges.
From the founder
"During our research we spoke with hundreds of teams who were struggling to move quickly because of the limitations of their data infrastructure. The teams making the most progress were having to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, across separate solutions, to help them get their data under control and it was taking them up to 12-18 months to purchase and implement it all."

Investor perspective
"Most people know that data is incredibly important but the ability to take it and tell stories with it still remains difficult. Now more than ever, we see the value in being able to process and analyse data at speed, to help us make critical decisions. Count makes it possible for even very early stage companies to begin making decisions based on analysis of their data."
