Corryn Biotechnologies has secured £550k in a seed funding round led by British Design Fund. The financing will support the continued development of the company's novel handheld wound care device and prepare for upcoming clinical trials.
The South Wales-based medtech startup focuses on regenerative medicine, producing microscopic polymer fibres directly onto wounds to create an advanced, breathable dressing. The funding will help the firm advance its clinical materials and expand its operations following the establishment of a research and manufacturing centre in Port Talbot.
