Fly Ventures led the seed financing to help the telephony platform expand its conversation intelligence product.
Cordless develops modern telephony software equipped with conversation intelligence to help customer support teams unlock valuable insights. The platform uses AI to analyse voice calls at scale, assess customer sentiment and summarise interactions.
Cordless has secured £2m in a seed round led by Fly Ventures to expand its AI-powered telephony platform. The funding will support the company as it looks to enhance its product capabilities and accelerate customer acquisition in the support sector.
Founded by former Monzo personnel Luba Chudnovets and Irina Bednova, the business aims to bridge the gap in voice analytics where traditional tools have largely favored sales over customer service operations. Existing backers including Passion Capital, Entrepreneur First and TrueSight also participated in the financing alongside several prominent angel investors.
From the founder
"We spoke to 100+ customer support leaders and most managers listen to at most 10 calls per week. This means companies are losing valuable information about how they can improve their service and product."

Investor perspective
"Voice support is a generally underinvested category, compared to text, but it is critical to several high-complexity product segments, as well as older, less tech-savvy customer groups. Luba and Irina experienced this first-hand at Monzo, and are now bringing a super well crafted platform to the market."
