London based fintech startup Coinrule has secured £1.6m in a seed follow on funding round, bolstered by participation from a range of prominent founders and institutional investors. The company provides retail cryptocurrency investors with an automated trading platform designed to increase accessibility to algorithmic strategies traditionally reserved for institutional players. Backers in the round include high profile figures such as Fitbit founder James Park and Twitch founder Kevin Lin, alongside various specialist funds. The fresh capital follows a period of rapid growth for the platform, which currently handles substantial monthly trading volumes for tens of thousands of users.

Founded in 2018, Coinrule allows users to deploy automated trading rules across major cryptocurrency exchanges without needing coding knowledge. The platform operates on a tiered subscription model and integrates with prominent exchanges including Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. The latest injection of funds and the company's participation in the Y Combinator programme will support its ongoing mission to widen financial inclusion and expand its suite of automated trading tools for everyday asset holders.
