CodeWords builds Cody, an autonomous AI agent designed to automate repetitive business workflows for non-technical users.
London-based artificial intelligence startup CodeWords has secured $9m in seed funding to scale its engineering and commercial teams.
The investment round was led by Visionaries, with backing from firstminute capital, Sequel, and Illusian. A prominent group of angel investors also participated, including Miro chief executive Andrey Khusid, ElevenLabs chief executive Mati Staniszewski, and Personio chief executive Hanno Renner.
Founded under the former name Agemo, the company provides an AI agent named Cody that manages administrative tasks, deal-flow tracking, and lead generation. The fresh capital arrives as the platform processes 500,000 monthly workflows for non-technical operators.
From the founder
"The best operators don’t wait to be asked. We built Cody on the same principle — an agent that learns about your business, sees what needs doing, and delivers outcomes"

Investor perspective
"Most automation tools promise simplicity, but still require technical thinking underneath. CodeWords is one of the first products we’ve seen where that truly disappears — you describe the task, and Cody runs it. What impressed us just as much is the team’s speed and conviction: Aymeric and Osman moved from research to a working product in a matter of months. That combination is very rare and hugely exciting"
