Early cancer detection company ClinSpec Dx has secured £2.4m in funding to advance its multi-cancer development programme. The financing round was led by Mercia Asset Management through its EIS Funds, with participation from the Scottish Investment Bank, SIS Ventures, EoS Advisory, and the University of Strathclyde.
The capital will also support team expansion, with five new hires planned across scientific and operational roles to bring the company headcount to fourteen.
Based in Scotland and founded as a spinout from the University of Strathclyde, ClinSpec Dx previously completed a seed round in 2019, bringing its total funds raised to date to £4m.
