BirdsEyeView is an insurtech startup that combines artificial intelligence and climate data to provide catastrophe modelling for insurers. The company helps firms automate underwriting and manage climate risk.

London based insurtech startup BirdsEyeView has secured a seven-figure investment round led by the European Space Agency, alongside Big 5 Investors, InsurTech NY and ACF Investors. The company will direct the new capital towards expanding its footprint in the UK and US markets. In addition, the funds will support the ongoing development of its proprietary RAPTOR technology, which automates underwriting and enhances natural catastrophe modelling for insurers. This financing follows a period of commercial expansion since the product launch last year, supported by strategic partnerships with major global insurers and brokers.

From the founder

"This capital injection will be used to fuel growth in the London and US Property and Casualty markets, and to accelerate the development of our Exposure Management and natural catastrophe modelling capabilities. This progress will be critical for improving the speed and quality of underwriters risk selection and exposure management — critical considering the increasing frequency and severity of global climate change-induced natural disasters."
